You can use the real thing at home through an authentic Japanese knife making experience in Sakai, the cutlery town. The knives used for the experience are knives for everyday use, such as Santoku, that are easy to handle.
You will also be able to thoroughly experience how to sharpen, so you will be able to maintain it yourself. After the experience, please take home the “Sakai Japanese Knife,” which is said to be used by 90% of chefs, and use it for cooking at home.
*You can choose the trial knife (blade knife, sashimi knife, Santoku knife).
*If you would like to put your name on it , please enter it in the knife selection field. (Engraving in Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana, or Alphabet. For the alphabet, only uppercase letters will be used.)
The recommended character count is 4-6 characters.
Please note that if you apply for a name insertion, you will not be able to make changes, cancellations, or refunds after that.
(As a general rule, the event is limited to 2 people, but if you wish to participate with 1 person, please contact the Sakai Tourism and Convention Association directly.)
