Beppu Kannawa Jigokudushi Tour (English Guided Tour with Meals) activity

Bokun ID:
893686
Product Code:

~A trip to touch local life and people in the hometown of syncretism of Shinto and Buddhism~

[A local English-speaking guide will guide you through the traditional hot spring treatment culture]

Among Beppu, which has the highest amount of hot springs in Japan, Kannawa Hot Spring gathers the most hot springs. This place has flourished as a hot spring resort since ancient times, and guests have spent a relaxing time while cooking their own meals using the “Jigokugama,” where ingredients are steamed with hot spring steam.

The food culture unique to Kannawa Onsen is “jigokumushi,” where fresh vegetables, meat, and fish are steamed all at once with steam from a 100℃ hot spring. This is a guided tour where you can further enjoy the food culture rooted in the region.

Walk through the back alley of Kannawa Onsen and guide you to unknown points recommended by the guide. You can procure ingredients and enjoy the original Jigokumame set unique to this plan at the Jigoku Kama at the hot spring resort.
