抹茶で命を養う、いけばなで生命に彩りを!〜Nourish the Lives and Life through Matcha and Ikebana〜 activity

Bokun ID:
906236
Product Code:

Micché KURAMAGUCHI has prepared multiple experience programs where you can learn about Japanese hospitality through IKEBANA (Ikebana) and tea ceremony (tea ceremony), which are traditional Japanese culture.

In particular, in this program, you will see demonstrations of flower arrangement and tea ceremony by lecturers, and you will also be exposed to the Japanese way of thinking about “valuing the changing seasons and the lives of living creatures,” which underlies these two traditional cultures. This is not unrelated to the theme “Designing a Future Society Where Life Shines” of the Expo currently being held in Osaka.

By incorporating the traditional culture that Japan has built into your daily life, you will add moisture and glamor to your life. After the experience, enjoy the view of Kyoto from the rooftop.

Course content

・Participation in a tea ceremony demonstration (matcha and sweets reception)

・I will tell you about the sense of the seasons, the lives of living creatures, and encounters with people that traditional Japanese culture has cherished.

About “Micché KURAMAGUCHI”

“Micché Kuramaguchi” is a complex facility built 50 years ago and renovated from a 4-story building. There is a gallery and cafe on the north side (road side), and a garden room with a treadmill and electronic organ on the south side (garden side), making it a space that can be used for practice, workshops, solo exhibitions, and parties with friends.

Also, on the 2nd to 4th floors, in addition to 21 unique private rooms, large and small, they are also fully equipped with kitchens and shower rooms. In addition to living as a share house, we designed a space where women with various purposes, regardless of age, can spend a lively time in their own way, such as an atelier for creating works and a work room for remote work.

On the open roof, while admiring the greenery and calm cityscape of the neighboring Kyoto Gyoen Garden, they hold a tea party in the sky, and watch okuribi in the summer. We believe that you will surely be able to develop rich connections with the community and people while spending a luxurious time.
