It is a forge that makes “Japanese swords” in Rakan-no-Sato, Aioi City, and makes small swords under the guidance of sword smiths who have handed down Japanese sword making. This is an authentic experience program where you create the shape of a small sword by wielding a hand hammer on steel that has turned bright red on a fire bed (koto).
[Process] ① “Fire building” Heated steel is shaped with a hand hammer.　

　　　　　② Adjust the shape and surface with a “raw finish” file.
③ “Quench” Heat the knife to about 800℃ and cool it quickly with water.

　　　　　④ “Polishing” polish with a whetstone so that it can be cut.
