Ishibashi-cho was a merchant town that supported the samurai in the Edo period as part of the castle town of Matsue City.
We have prepared a course that allows visitors to experience the old streets and traditional industries, and also to actually see the lives of the people who live in this town today.

◎Senjuin Temple: Built to seal off the devil's gate when Matsue Castle was built, this temple is located in the most beautiful place to view Matsue Castle.
◎Kanemori Soy Sauce: The soy sauce has been made in the same way since its establishment about 150 years ago. 100 wooden vats are a sight to behold!
◎Ishikawaya: A fish shop that has been around since the Edo period. Experience Japanese side dishes.
◎Takeuchi Tatami mat store: You can actually experience making tatami mats.
◎RihakuSake Brewery: You can sample the representative sake of Matsue, which was established about 140 years ago.
◎IKEDA HOUSE: A petit homestay at guide's home. You can experience the modern Japanese lifestyle.
It is convenient to use the JR-WEST RAIL PASS Kansai-San'in Area Pass to get to the meeting place.
