Samurai existed in Japan from the medieval to the early modern era. They mastered swordsmanship and other martial arts to protect their lords, families, and themselves, while also cultivating cultural practices such as etiquette and the tea ceremony, placing great importance on spiritual refinement. Their bravery, wisdom, and aesthetic sense have been passed down through generations, giving rise to many cultures, traditions, and philosophies.

Satsuma Sendai City in Kagoshima Prefecture is a ‘town where samurai still alive,’ deeply rooted in the spirit of the Samurai of Satsuma. This samurai program offers an immersive experience into the lives and philosophies of the Samurai of Satsuma, including guided tours of armor workshops, armor dressing, iaido experiences, and samurai-themed dinners, allowing participants to deeply experience the way of life and philosophy of the Samurai of Satsuma.

● As soon as payment of the travel fee/arrangement is completed with the application details, we will send you a reservation confirmation and request by email. Payment is accepted by credit card (VISA/MASTER). Please check that there are no differences in the details of the arrangement, such as departure date, return date, tour details, traveler name, etc., and then complete the payment procedure within 10 days of making a reservation.

•20 days before: 20% of tour charges
•7 days before: 30% of tour charges
•1 day before: 40% of tour charges
•Day of tour: 50% of tour charges
•After tour starts or no show: 100% of tour charges
