At Heisenji Hakusan Shrine, cedar trees that have fallen due to wind and snow damage are processed as “votive plaques.” That's where I put my wishes and thoughts.
I will carry the votive plaques I have drawn up and tour the precincts with the guidance of a Japan Heritage official guide. After visiting the main hall while touching the deep history, I will dedicate the votive plaque I wrote once.
Finally, branches and leaves that block sunlight have disappeared due to fallen trees, and saplings grown in the precincts are planted to cure moss that has become rough. The next time you visit, you may come across “the cedar you planted.”

▶ Hakusan Heisenji Historical Museum · Mahoroba/votive plaque making. Accumulate with brush pens, color pens, etc. (5 to 15 minutes)
▶ Heisenji Hakusan Shrine: Tour the precincts with the guidance of an expert guide, and finally dedicate. After planting the tree, I get a votive plaque again and take it home (about 90 to 100 minutes)
