At "Sanrakuso," overlooking Mt. Daisen, which became Japan's third national park, you'll experience traditional Japanese Zen meditation and Jizo statue making, and enjoy a vegetarian lunch. Mt. Daisen, ranked in the top 3 of "Japan's Famous Peak Rankings," offers a leisurely trek through pristine beech forests with a green shower. Take a moment to face nature, listening to bird songs, the murmur of streams, and the sound of leaves rustling in the wind.

Course Content

On the first day, after gathering at Yonago Station, you'll experience traditional Japanese Zen meditation and Jizo statue making at "Sanrakuso" overlooking Mt. Daisen, and enjoy a vegetarian lunch. At Mt. Daisen, you'll take a leisurely trek through pristine beech forests. Feel the bird songs, the murmur of streams, and the sound of leaves rustling in the wind. In the evening, after visiting a Japanese fishing port, relax at Kaike Onsen.

On the second day, you'll experience Yumihama Gasuri (cotton fabric). You'll get a glimpse of the process of this nationally designated traditional craft that began in western Tottori Prefecture during the Edo period and continues to this day. Along with a sake brewery tour, you'll see 177 bronze yokai statues blending into the townscape on both sides of the road, inspired by manga artist Shigeru Mizuki, born in Sakaiminato City, Tottori Prefecture, known for "GeGeGe no Kitaro."
