The tea ceremony is a quintessential representation of Japanese culture, where the host serves tea to guests in a traditional style. Participants will engage with the tea ceremony while exploring various forms of etiquette—such as how to prepare tea, how to receive it, how to sit, and how to bow—as well as the spirit of hospitality.

The instructor will explain the process of preparing tea, and participants will enjoy tea and sweets prepared by the instructor. Afterward, participants will have the chance to prepare tea themselves using a bamboo whisk (chasen).
