■ Shiogama Shrine
“Shiogama Shrine” is the head office of Shiogama (Shiogama) Shrine in Ichinomiya, Mutsu Province. As the guardian of Tohoku and Ichinomiya in Mutsu Province, it has been widely revered since ancient times, starting with the Imperial Court and successive generations of the Sendai feudal lord Date clan. The main hall, hall of worship, shiashimon, and other shrine buildings are important cultural properties of the country, and there is also Shiogama Cherry Blossom, which has been designated as a national natural monument.
■Tawen Mountain
It overlooks Matsushima, one of Japan's three most scenic spots, and is counted as one of the Four Great Views of Matsushima, along with Otakamori in Higashimatsushima City and Toyama and Ogiya in Matsushima Town.
■Taga Castle South Gate
The Tagajo South Gate was restored as a new tourist attraction for 2024, which is the 1300 year since Tagajo was built. It dates from the middle of the 8th century, was built on the outskirts of Tagajo Castle, and was regarded as an important facility at the entrance to Tagajo Castle, which was the center of Tohoku management.
