Takao, a remote area of Kyoto with abundant natural beauty, can be visited in about 40 to 50 minutes by car from Kyoto City. To fully enjoy the Takao area, we offer “With Matcha Experience at World Heritage Site Kosan-ji Temple & visit 3 temples, and Kawadoko lunch at Momijiya.
Jingo-ji temple：16 national treasures and 2,372 important cultural assets, which was founded in the Heian period (794-1185)
Saimyo-ji Temple：the splendid cultural assets, which is associated with the Tokugawa family
Kosan-ji Temple：the World Heritage Site Kozanji Temple;
famous for its 「Choju jinbutsu giga」 and 「the oldest tea garden」in Japan. 「Choju jinbutsu giga」 is also known as Japan's oldest MANGA.
●Details of the Kawadoko lunch
“Kawadoko” where you can enjoy meals in the cool breeze blowing across the water is one of the perfect ways to enjoy Kyoto’s hot summers. Please enjyo fresh spring breeze amidst the green maple trees. The tofu in the small pot included in the meal is from Saga Tofu “Morika”. Ayu fish is grilled over charcoal right in front of you on the floor and brought to you freshly grilled.

At the Kawadoko restaurant, you will receive tickets for visiting temples and a voucher for a matcha experience. Please enjoy the Sanbi Travle on your own.

●Reservation deadline: 6:00 p.m. 3 days prior to the tour
●Cancellation policy:
No cancellation required until 4 days prior to the tour start date,
20% of the tour fee from 3 days prior to the tour start date,
50% of the tour fee prior to the tour start date,
and 100% of the tour fee after the tour start date or for no-show.

Please note that it may be chilly depending on the time of the year.
There is a step up to the kawadoko seats.
